Ahead of the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, when parishes all across the Archdiocese are honoring the Blessed Mother with Masses, prayers and gatherings. Archbishop Joe S. Vásquez celebrated a special Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and joined a mile-long procession with the image of Our Lady on Dec. 6, 2025. The procession stretched down at least 10 downtown city blocks.
More than a thousand, including many danzantes and matachines dancers wearing traditional indigenous attire, attended the Mass, procession and Archdiocesan gathering at the Archbishop J. Fiorenza Plaza.
